Premier League, Irdeto and Law Enforcement Collaborate to Shut Down IPTV Piracy Business

The Spanish National Police, Europol, Eurojust, Spanish specialized computers crimes prosecutors, Premier League and Irdeto teamed up on a global anti-piracy investigation leading to the raid of 12 locations in Spain and Bulgaria. Eight individuals were arrested for the illegal distribution of 1,000 pay TV channels across two Internet Service Providers through the use of IPTV technology. The servers used to provide illegal access to the channels were shut down and numerous documentation incriminating the individuals under investigation was also confiscated.
